Top Navigation and Maps Apps in Panama: Q2 2025 Overview

During the second quarter of 2025, the navigation and maps app market in Panama showed interesting trends across the top five applications, based on Sensor Tower data.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a steady flow of weekly downloads, peaking at around 8.4K in mid-April. The active user base fluctuated slightly, starting at approximately 189K and reaching a high of 209K users before settling back to around 187K by the end of June.

Google Maps Go maintained a consistent download rate, with numbers hovering around 2.5K to 2.9K weekly. Active users started at 275K and peaked at over 293K in early June, demonstrating strong user engagement.

Google Earth experienced modest download figures, ranging from approximately 1.1K to 1.4K. Active users showed slight variations, starting at 5.5K and experiencing minor fluctuations throughout the quarter, ending at about 5.4K.

Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer had a varied download trend, with a notable peak of 1.2K in mid-May. Active users mirrored this trend, peaking at over 2K during the same period, indicating periods of increased engagement.

Lastly, Circuit Route Planner experienced a decline in downloads, starting at over 1K and dropping to around 200 by the end of June. However, weekly revenue showed a positive trend, reaching a high of $69 by late May, suggesting monetization success despite fewer downloads.
